First, having a sufficient number of students, and second, the District having an appropriate level of State funding to operate the school.  Given the current financial crisis in the State of California, the opening date is tentative and could possibly be delayed.   

Sunset Ranch Elementary plans include an outdoor amphitheater for assemblies and outdoor learning; three playgrounds, with one dedicated to Kindergarten; a soccer field/multi-use field; a dedicated bus drop-off loop; and ample parking for events.

With a total student capacity of 750, the school plans to include a multipurpose building with a stage, a library with computer lab, and smart technology in every classroom.
