Audubon Demonstration Garden
Whitney Ranch is the only new home community that is endorsed by the Audubon Society. The local Audubon chapter, Sierra Foothills Audubon Society, is in a long term environmental alliance with Whitney Ranch.
Together we are taking an important and meaningful step in helping to protect our wildlife and natural spaces while contributing to the educational outreach program in the community and local schools.
Located within the Whitney Community Park, the Audubon Demonstration Garden is planned to display native California plants that use little water and are environmentally attractive to local birds and wildlife. Residents and young people will see and learn first hand about environmental stewardship at Whitney Ranch and become more educated and responsible citizens.
Each new resident of Whitney Ranch is provided with a complimentary one-year membership* to the Sierra Foothills Audubon Society and receives: a Sierra Foothills Audubon Society's bi-monthly newsletter "The Phoebe", Invitations to Sierra Foothills Audubon Society field trips to all parts of the foothills and the state, and an invitation to the Audubon Society's monthly programs which take you to all parts of the world.
Visit Sierra Foothills Audubon for more information.
